Online Sales happen each year after The Ballot and Store Sales.
This year, they opened on Friday 19 November, 11am AEST, here at www.goldenplains.com.au, using online ticketing experts GreenTix. Click on the button below.
Make sure you refresh at 11am. You’ll then enter a queue which is in chronological order, and once a space in the Online Box Office becomes available you will automatically be put through.
You do not need to be a Subscriber or have a Golden Code to purchase online. A limit of 4 tickets per customer is in place.
Please note you need to be 18 years of age to attend Golden Plains; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Here’s some FAQs about Online Sales:
Q. How is the Online Tickets Allocation sold?
A. Via expert festival online ticketing company GreenTix. GreenTix can do everything we require and a whole lot more. Their system can handle the volume of traffic it needs to. They are experts in ticketing and handle many large events.
Q. How many can we buy?
A. Up to 4 tickets per person. (Note that Ballot winners can only purchase up to 3 tickets per Golden Code)
Q. Is there a queuing system for Online sales?
A. Yes. Here’s how GreenTix describe it. “It is a fair system that can handle the volume and demand, and importantly it does so in an orderly fashion. It is first in, best dressed: if you are in the right place at the right time before the next person, you will be ahead of them in line. Once the queue has formed, we will tick through it as efficiently as possible. There will be no advantage to opening up multiple windows, clicking refresh or trying to ‘beat’ the system”.
Q. How long do we have to complete our transaction in the Online Allocation?
A. You will have 15 minutes to complete your transaction. If you plan on using PayPal instead of a credit card you MUST have an account set up before this. (Note – this 15 minute window does not apply to sales in the Ballot. Ballot winners have around 7 days to make their transaction).
Q. If I purchase, when are tickets sent out to me?
A. From mid-February.
Q. Do I need to provide names for the tickets?
Q. Why have online sales?
A. It is clear that many people prefer to have the online sales method, as long as the process is orderly. This means we pick a date and time and put some tickets on sale then. Whoever gets through online before others do gets the tickets. This is how the majority of tickets to events are now sold. GreenTix will be able to comfortably handle the volume here; the system will work effectively.
